
Adarsh Man Sherchan Executive Director
With over 14 years of professional experience in conservation & development, working closely with NGOs/INGOs, national/international lenders, research, academia, and conservation partners globally, Adarsh brings his astute training & skills in ecology and molecular sciences to advise clients on the best practices of safeguarding the environment through the best and latest practices in ecological surveillance science. He approaches evidence-based decision-making in large-scale development projects, specializing in hydropower and aquatic monitoring, surveillance and design, mitigation and impact assessment. Mr. Sherchan has collaborated in research, innovation and monitoring endeavors with the IFC, USAID, US Forest Service, ADB and leading academic partners from all over the world. He leads as the National Aquatic Consultant for the Upper Trishuli-1 Hydroelectric Project (216MW) and consults for hydroelectric portfolios under the Asian Development Bank.

Dr. Adrian C. Pinder Bournemouth University/Associate
Dr Pinder is a highly experienced international fisheries scientist and consultant with a career spanning 35 years. Over this time he has published extensively on many disciplines of fisheries science including early ontogenetic ecology, habitat/environmental flow requirements, recruitment bottlenecks, non-native fishes, migration and the conservation of internationally endangered species. Considered as the world authority on mahseer fishes, Pinder has worked extensively across South and Southeast Asia and since 2018 has worked for multiple high-profile clients to support the environmental challenges associated with hydropower development in Nepal. In his role as Associate International Fisheries Advisor to BES, Pinder provides clients with the assurance that their projects meet international best-practice standards through the development and execution of bespoke survey methodologies, provision of training, and quality assurance.

Suresh Kumar Wagle Senior Consultant (B.Sc.Agri., M.S. (Aquaculture & Fisheries)
Suresh Wagle is a freshwater field ecologist specializing in the assessment and biomonitoring of aquatic ecosystems and in streamfish communities. His research to date has focused on how abiotic, landscape elements and disturbances drive and organise freshwater fish communities. Mr. Wagle was formerly invovled as Senior Scientist at Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC) and Senior Fisheries Specialist at USAID PAANI Program. He has over 30 years of experience in the private and public sector in aquatic resource improvement projects.

Jyoti JoshiSenior Consultant (Molecular)
Ms. Jyoti Joshi brings a decade of experience working with several molecular and conservation projects in Nepal and Thailand. She is well versed in the conservation and population genetics of fish using eDNA, non-invasive genetics for Bengal Tigers, Snow Leopards, various canid and felid species. She spearheads the growth verticals at Biome, particularly in molecular research. She holds an M.Sc in Biotechnology from Mahidol University, Thailand.

Nikita Pradhan Consultant (Water Resource Management)
Ms. Nikita Pradhan is an environmental specialist with expertise in Water Resource Management, Climate Change Adaptation, and Policy Analysis. She holds a Master of Environment from The Australian National University, supported by an Australia Awards Scholarship, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Kathmandu University.She has contributed to projects in River Basin Management, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Environmental Impact Assessments, including work with ICEDS in Australia and the World Bank in Nepal. Nikita also led pioneering research on Himalayan fish biodiversity using eDNA technology. As Chapter Lead for the Women in Nature Network-Nepal (WiNN), she advocates for gender equality and integrates research with actionable policy.

Currently pursuing a PhD at the Department of Zoology at Tribhuvan University, Genunine Prajapati is a seasoned zoologist, fish taxonomist and aquatic ecologist who has consulted for several conservation and development projects in Nepal.

Mr. Arun Man Sherchan has been involved in Nepal’s banking/business sector for the past 35 years, 26 years of which he served as Promoter Director of Everest Bank Limited and founder of several business enterprises over the past 4 decades. He oversees the finance management and long-term strategic direction at Biome. Mr. Sherchan is the Assistant Governer at Rotary International, Nepal-Bhutan.
